OMGOSH it is hot here today. Normally, my office is kept cool enough that I must wear a sweater and drink hot tea to be comfortable at all. Even when it's in the upper 90's outside.
Today? I have my blinds closed, am drinking cold water instead of tea and am not wearing my sweater. I have half my office lights off to minimize heat. The guys who fix heating/aircon have been by to say that the aircon is working at full capacity, but that it's just too hot for it to do its job properly.
It is stuffy in here. Bleh. Oh well. *goes off to fetch more water*
ETA: It's a perfect day to reread one of the most amusing Sentinel fics I have ever found--It's Hot and I Hate You, by Jael Lyn. *giggles*
Current Mood: hot
I can't decide if it's better to have your office too hot or too cold. I'm always in the "wearing a sweater" category, which drives me crazy. In the summer I like being able to wear as few clothes as possible.

I'm usually in the "would rather have it cold" category. As I always say, you can always put more clothes on, but you can only take so many clothes off without getting arrested.
(who keeps a sweater at work to wear in the summer and must dress in layers in the winter so she can shed them as work gets hotter. . .)
I'm definitely with V. on this one, even if I do get annoyed at my roommate for keeping our apt. a nice 68-70 degrees year-round--because that's cold enough for my feet and hands to chill, and I think it's weird to have to go around in slippers with hot tea on a July evening in Los Angeles! :-)
I'm the opposite in the winter. In the winter I'm all for blankets and sweaters and fireplaces, but in the summer...

My boss wonderfully bought me a big floor fan, normally used for ventilating construction sites, for my dinky little office, which also has A/C. :-D Apart from everything else, at least work is comfortable :-D

This is one of my most. Favorite. Fics. Ever. Methinks I might have to give it a re-read my own self.
Go! Read! It's still funny like the 30th time through. :-)
"Well, I think it's a nice breeze. Sandburg believes it's the demon wind straight off the Sahara."
Don't melt okay!?! I like you fully formed and 3 dimensional... ;)
Cool icon! *points*
I'll do my best to stay 3D. I like my opposable thumbs, not to mention my heartbeat and visual perspective. ;-)
