|02:29 pm - Pictures of me in my pretty dress!|
Okay, I'm new to this whole picture-posting thing. If it doesn't come out quite right, I may delete it and try again.
Anyway, the promised pics are here! (And if you click on them, you get the larger version.)
|The Full Ensemble
Waist-up of me in the dress, with the long coat and furred hood.
Not the best image, but shows off the skirt and shoes in their glory.
|3/4 Length Dress
Me looking happy in my awesome dress, though this doesn't show off the skirt as much.
|Full-Length Dress, Profile
Another full-length of the dress, this one in partial profile.
Current Mood: accomplished
Wow! I know exactly why you liked this dress. As Geo says, it's very Arthurian. It goes with your artistic, fantasy-leaning proclivities.
And it looks . . . I believe the technical term is "damn good" . . . on you.
And the necklace looks pretty awesome, too.
I know, I love my dress like crazy. :-) I also loved how when I tried it on, I got a real reaction out of the store owner, this short older man--he kept saying how it was made for a tall woman, and how it was perfect for me. Usually I am immune to "patter," but when it's obviously true, it's fun to hear. Hee.
The necklace was a last-minute addition, a pretty thing I've had for about 3 years and never an outfit to wear it with. It was perfect.
Of course, I now have to revise my unconscious assumption that your hair was blonde...
Blanketty-blank flourescent lighting...my hair used to be blonde (straw-gold when I was a child), and while it's darker now, it's still got a ton of gold (and white, shhh, I'm only 26)in it. If I'm in the sunlight. :-)
Yeah, though my hair really darkened when I hit college age. Then I cut it short and all the sun-lightened bits went away. I'm not sure what you'd call it now. Mixed?
Hellllooooooooo sexy lady!
Wow. That's quite an outfit. You look like a WOMAN! So beautiful and so very you and just wow. :)
You did good, sister. You did good.
P.S. I think these are some of the best pictures I've ever seen of you.
Normally unphotogenic me actually was pretty that day. ;-) Maybe because I was happy; maybe partly because my Dad's digital camera is awesome and does things like take the red-eye out automatically by the way it does its flash.
Not ashamed to show these around, anyway. *admires self*
*strikes a sexy pose* Hee. I know; see why I had to buy it? I just couldn't walk out of that store the second time without it. And I'm going to keep it forever. :-)
Okay, I gotta ask: What did the fam think?
Well, the girls thought it was TEH AWESOME. Of course, they were also wearing awesome dresses, so it was kind of a mutual dress-up spree. :-)
My mom seemed to like it, and was the one who recommended the necklace when I asked her to help me figure out which of three looked best.
Overall, the response was positive, I'd say. Which pleased me, of course.
(remind me to email you a pic of me with the little sisters; I don't want to post family pics publicly, but you'll appreciate it.)
Can you email me pics of you and the girls too? Pls?

Wow, you look great!
I think Gene Kelly's expression in my icon sums up a proper reaction nicely ;-).
Very pretty; love the dress and the necklace.
Hee! to your icon. And thank you!
Yay for happy dress! It looks great on you, glad you decided on that one.
Oh, me too. I think I shall be able to keep and wear it for quite a while to come. *pets pretty dress*
It's Nick. For... stupid dramatic reasons (think Kim two years ago), I made a new account. Nothing exciting yet. But Kim's my only friend... So friend me. LOL!
You look great in the pics, BTW
Re: dramatics: :-( That's not cool. I shall come friend you for sure!
And thank you. :-)
