11:07 am - "jus in bello" means "justice in war"
Taken from the first article Google threw up at me:

"The rules of jus in bello (or justice in war) serve as guidelines for fighting well once war has begun. Some maintain that morality does not exist in warfare, and therefore object to just war theory. War is hell, the argument goes, and one is entitled to do whatever is necessary to ensure victory for one's own side. Just war theory, on the other hand, sets forth a moral framework for warfare and rejects the notion that "anything goes" during times of war."

Anyone care to speculate in the comments whether (and how) this may come into play in the last new episode of SPN we're going to get? Since they made it the title and all.

Oh, I can tell you what the result will be. Me. Screaming at the television. Flailing uncontrollably. Hyperventilating. Spasms of impatience. Coronary. Mindless babbling and speculation and denial.

(Remember last season how I completely bypassed the whole "Could Colby be a spy?" to start coming up with wild reasons why he *wasn't* a spy? Yeah.)

I'm wondering of maybe Sam will be the one to toss out the idea of "a just war" and Dean will be the one to have to reign Sammy in.

I also wonder how the shows will read if watched in the proper order (ala watching S1 N3 in the proper order rather than airing order).

So. Right. I should make sure there is a good supply of libation to mellow me out when it airs, yes?

And how fun would it be to watch together? Oy!

Or maybe, given Sam's current attitude (and the hints in the Kripke interview), it'll be the other way around?

I also wonder how the shows will read if watched in the proper order (ala watching S1 N3 in the proper order rather than airing order).

Since neither have yet aired, and airing order will in fact be "Mystery Spot" and then "Jus in Bello," it's possible that anything which would really stand out as swapping them in timeline was adjusted/dropped in the editing room. Guess we'll see.

LOL. Not too much, you don't want to miss any tiny details--but maybe for afterwards? *g*
