11:59 pm - Heh.
I'm really amused by you all right now.

I won't be watching the ep of Doctor Who which just aired in the UK for a few more weeks, and yet my entire friendslist has EXPLODED with variations on "OMG! WTF! But but but... What? What?! WHAT?"

There seems to be squee along with the shock, so I'm not overly worried, just seriously cracking up over the strong consensus we appear to have going on here.

(Please don't spoil me!)

I haven't watched this week's or last week's yet; just been too busy. I intend to watch them tonight, but I'm mistrustful of my track record.

I see you've now watched them, and freaked out just as much as everybody else. *g*

don't worry we won't spoil you. I seriously wanted to punch Russell T in the nose and kick him for good measure last night and yell in his face about not writing well but just writing mean...

but then I realised this is a two parter and I am emotional these days, so I am just hoping the second part is what I'd like it to be...

Yeah, you're not the only one I've seen saying that RT was "mean" in this episode. Heh. Weirdly, a lot of people seem to be stunned in a good way as well as shocked out of their minds, which is making me madly curious.

ETA

Well . . . I just watched the second half of "Silence in the Library" last night. Actually, re-watched SitL first, then the second part (don't remember the title), and it was so great it made my brain hurt. Seriously.

ETA: Have I mentioned recently that I love Donna? I was quite fond of Rose, and Martha was cool, but I love Donna. And the dynamic she has with the Doctor. They really are good for each other.

Hey, we should chat about that 2-parter. There was a lot I loved about it, but I have a couple of small and specific objections--"The Empty Child"/"The Doctor Dances" this wasn't. Quite.

(I also love Donna! She'd better not go anywhere anytime soon!)

Yeah, seriously be careful of spoilers. Fandom is on fire and it might consume the whole Internet.

That said, if you want to get together next weekend and see the last few episodes sooner, I'd be up for watching them again in a row ^^

It totally did explode, didn't it? People are going nuts! Thanks to the internet, I'm current through "Turn Left" but am being a good girl and am not watching ep 12 until Geek Night on Friday. ARGH.

Somebody somewhere said that this year's finale was aimed squarely at the fans, and from what I've seen of what Davies can do, it doesn't surprise me to greatly that folks are flipping out.

I'll be happy to explode with you when the time comes!

To fill the time, I am watching "City of Death." *g* Now I understand why people think Romana is so awesome (and Four really, REALLY reminds me of Nine for some reason--I think it's the manic grin).

I'll be happy to explode with you when the time comes!

Awesome!

Oh, "City of Death" is fantastic! Funny and clever and very, very Who. Loved the cameos at the end, too. And yes, Four and Nine have similar grins, don't they?

Have you watched the extras yet? The one about "David Agnew" is hilarious.

Hee. It's funny once you know what they're exploding about, too. Well, at least I think so, anyway. RTD is pretty evil. But I regard that as a good thing. :)

Funny as in it's weird that they're exploding? Or funny as in nobody could possibly have seen this coming? Or...? (Nevermind. Want no spoilers!)

And yeah, evil can be good. Stupid, otoh (but at least this doesn't sound like it falls on that side of things)....

I will say no more! Except that the evil is definitely there, and that only next week will tell whether or not is it accompanied by the stupid. My fingers are firmly crossed and my fannish optimism is fully in place. :)

We won't know until next week whether it's "yay" or "curse you, RTD for your sudden but inevitable betrayal".

Applying "sudden but inevitable betrayal" to RTD is far more amusing than it should be. *dies*
