|02:27 pm - You guys, I think I'm going to cry|
Kim Manners, known to me from The X-Files and from Supernatural, just died.
Sources: Jim Beaver's MySpace, and http://community.livejournal.com/spnfencentral/313222.html
I respected this man so much, his creative talent, his eye for directing and storytelling. May he rest in peace, and be remembered well by all who worked with him, and by all whom his work affected.
Current Mood: sad
This is very sad indeed. *huge hugs*
Thank you for the link.
Kim Manners was one of the few TV directors whom I knew by both name and reputation.
I distinctly remember watching a making-of documentary on one of the XF discs shortly after Geo and I finished My Mummy. Watching Kim made me really, really want to work with a director and a crew who knew what they were doing and were really, really good at it.
Prayers for his family, friends, and co-workers.
I recognized the name but then I looked him up on IMDB and the thing I know him best from is The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. He made a mark on the TV Landscape. He will be missed.
I had no idea he was sick at all!

Word. His talent is the reason that keep me watching X files and bring me to Supernatural. Now i wonder who'll be directed finale eps... no one could do it the way Kim could...
