|01:23 pm - metaphorical storms|
BENEATH AND ABOVE
It's stormy today.
Blown sand and shadows,
waves of dark water.
As always, I stand,
breathing fine, but still blind,
waiting the break in the clouds.
Joy, hands of light,
reach in praise, free of fear,
till the storm closes over again.
I love who I am
underneath these mist-shrouds.
When will this end?
Current Mood: discontent
Mordor's not forever, Sam. You told me that. Keep going, keep fighting, keep believing and dreaming. The new day will come and shine out all the clearer because of those clouds. Soon.
Be it so.
BTW, that icon is just great. *holds onto hope*
Winston Churchill. "If you are going through hell, keep going."
Ah, I like that. Oddly enough, I just started rereading Dante's Inferno. Heh.
Hey, a clinical depression inspired a woman to write the simple little song, "I love You, Lord/And I lift my voice to worship You/O my soul, rejoice!/Take joy, my King, in what You hear/And let it be a sweet, sweet sound in You ear."
Reach up in praise even with the clouds overhead, sis...more times than I can count, I've been lifted up even though I didn't feel like praising Him when I started.
grace & peace

Really? That's cool. I love that song.
Afaik, I myself am not clincally depressed (I have a couple of friends who are, and clearly, I am not. heh). But that apparently doesn't mean I can't be walked over by the enemy every now and then. :-P
Thank you for your encouragement. It helps.

Hope your storm passes and you're left with the windyish cool sun-breaking-through-clouds occassional-droplet weather of renewed hope. :-)
Mm, you know, a favorite quotes thread might be fun.
