It's begun! Because of work, I can't be there till Saturday, but both Sat. and Sun. will find me roaming the halls of the convention center.

Anybody else going to be there? I'd love to meet up with people and put names to faces. *waves to kalquessa*

Email me: izhilzha at livejournal dot com forwards to one of my addresses.

I am on the wrong side of the ocean, of course, but if you meet any British fans or cartoonists, try to drop my name and see what happens. Up until about 1999, I used to have quite a cantankerous little reputation as a reviewer. (See my latest essay, which is largely reworked from a fierce criticism of the mutant universe written some ten years ago.)

I'll keep that in mind.

I'm still trying to figure out whether I want to reply at all to that essay; I don't have the indepth knowledge of the X-Men canon that you do, but I feel that your conclusions are far more broad than is necessary given the subject (or rather, that you may have veered off the actual point in some places to make your thesis work). Though again, without a firmer grasp of the text, I probably shouldn't say anything.
