|10:11 am - Not my fault this time, people....|
I was tagged by jd3000.
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag five people.
'Sure of that?' exclaimed the vicar. 'My dear Lord Peter, you were present at his funeral. You saw him buried yourself.'
'I saw his coffin buried,' said Wimsey mildly.
"The Undignified Melodrama of the Bone of Contention," from the Lord Peter collection by Dororthy L. Sayers
If you absolutely don't want to do this one, don't bother, but I am tagging: whitemartyr, mistraltoes, feliciakw, amberdulen, and astrogirl2.
You know, I did this meme not too long ago... here
, but I cheated a little because I liked the whole thing Wimsey said. ;)
Heh. That amuses me. Actually, the first book I picked up was Sayers' translation of Dante's Purgatorio, but 123 is a page of footnotes, not exactly sentences. :-)
Well . . . I don't have 5 people I can tag, but okay.
Yay! (I have, on occasion, tagged people I "know" but have not yet friended....no guarantees they'll see one's post, but hey....)
