See my new and shiny icon. And now, let me explain to you why it is awesome, if you have not watched the last scene of the "mid-season finale" of Psych. (Dialogue may be paraphrased.)
Shawn, the main character, has been crushing on Detective Juliet O'Hara off-and-on since he met her (especially this season). After he helps her out by catching a criminal who escaped from her, he's talking to her alone and leans in--we think--to plant a kiss on her. Both of them sort of stop moving, and we can't see if they're kissing, because the camera is panning around behind Juliet's head.
Juliet: This thing you're doing? It might be what we were just talking about.
Juliet: A mistake?
As we continue panning, we see that they are not kissing; Shawn stopped with his mouth about half an inch from hers.
Shawn: What, this? This isn't a mistake.
Juliet: What is it, then?
Shawn: I call it Very Close Talking.
Juliet: Is there anything else you want to say?
Shawn purses his lips as if considering, which turns into (essentially) a tiny, casual kiss on Juliet's upper lip.
Shawn: Mmmm...nope. I think that's it.
He pulls away, Juliet looks a little dazed, they exchange a few more words, and Shawn walks away looking ridiculously smug. Juliet stares after him, then sits down and starts frantically disassembling/reassembling her sidearm, which is something she does to relieve stress.
Seriously, one of the cutest things I've ever seen. (very close talking, ROTFLOL!)
