Very apt.

OK, so, um, I just tried to send you an e-mail, and Hotmail keeps rejecting it, probably because some &^*#*%ing spammer has been spoofing my address. (I keep getting bounced mail messages from all over the place. :() Here's what I tried to send you. I figured I'd add it a few posts down, where it'll be more easily overlooked, for below-mentioned ficathon anonymity reasons.

Hiya! Sorry to e-mail you out of the blue like this. Ordinarily I'd
just leave a comment on your LJ, but I'm trying to cling to whatever
tiny scraps of anonymity I still have for this ficathon. See, the
thing is, I've (probably very unwisely) ended up writing a Larry
Fleinhardt story for the Doctor Who crossover ficathon. It's mostly an
extended exercise in writing Larry's voice, and I'm not at all sure
how successful it is. Plus, I still haven't seen past season three,
and what I *have* seen, I don't necessarily remember all that well.
In other words, I badly need somebody who knows Larry and the Numb3rs
canon better than I do to take a look over it and let me know if I've
gone horribly wrong anywhere. And since you seem to be the biggest
Larry fan on my flist, I naturally thought of you. :)

I know you're busy with your script-writing and stuff, so if you don't
have the time or the inclination, no worries. But if you think you
might be up for taking a glance at it, I'd be extremely grateful!
It's only a little over 2000 words long, and it's due by July 12.

Thanks, either way!

And if the answer should happen to be "yes," do you have an alternate e-mail address that might not reject me? If so, you can send it to happynova @ gmail dot com, if you'd rather not post it here. I imagine the rejection only goes one way.

You're writing a Numb3rs/Doctor Who story? With Larry? FTW! *g* I would be more than happy to give you a beta. 2000 words, that's fine, that won't take me too long even if I have lots of notes (and lordy, it's you, I can't imagine I'll need to tear it to pieces or anything).

Did you send it to livefortheone AT hotmail DOT com? If so, I'll go ahead and email you from my other account and see if we can connect that way.

Yes, well, don't go saying things like "FTW!" until you've seen it. I'm really not sure whether it works at all. Ack! I don't know what I was thinking.

Anyway... I sent it to your userid @ livejournal dot com, which forwarded to... a different hotmail account, actually, I believe. I'll try that one and see if it works...

*goes off to do so*

Hmm. Well, I sent a test e-mail, and it hasn't bounced yet, so maybe I was sending it to the wrong place. If it doesn't boomerang on me soonish, I'll try sending the story there.

And thank you so much!
