First-sentence year summary meme

Go through your archive, grab the first sentence (or two) from the first post of each month of the year to create a summary of your year.

Jan: I'm attempting to make this post from my parents' computer, so it may not be quite as indepth or lengthy as I would like for my usual reflection on the past year and hopes for the future. Nonetheless, here goes.

Feb: This isn't based on anything particular that recently happened. And it's possible that I'm just hormonal, since that does affect my mood. But anyway: I'm quite depressed and dealing with a lot of anxiety.

March: Post a single sentence from each WIP you have (or as many as you want to pick). No context, no explanations. No more than one sentence!

April: Okay, do you all remember my post about new safety regulations in the States causing children's books printed before 1985 to be taken off shelves?

May: To whom it may concern: I'm not moving to Dreamwidth.

June: It's raining! With long rolling thunder! In L.A.! \o/

July: I am ridiculously proud to live in the United States of America.

Aug: May you enjoy your birthday, mistraltoes, and see many happy returns.

Sept: You could call these the pet peeves of my day.

Oct: All on a theme, courtesy of my weekly Hollywood Connect newsletter: The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.
– Albert Einstein

Nov: Oh, I am not pleased. Not pleased at all, my precious.

Dec: I feel like I've been terribly lax at keeping you all up to date on my writing life over the past year or two. Here's a quick, current list.
