Relatives and Relativity (Doctor Who/Sense and Sensibility), by yahtzee63
In which the sisters Dashwood meet Nine.
“Elinor – do you think it could be real – that he could – that he might be a magician?”
“His speech is rather rough, dearest. More likely he is a day-labourer from the North.”
And Fill the Trees With Apples (AU), by paperclipbitch
Author says: "basically, I just wanted to write pregnant!Amy having adventures in the Tardis, in a vaguely responsible way that would leave her and the baby absolutely fine." It's adorable, and deals with Amy and the Doctor and Rory in very believable AU ways. (I really needed some Amy/Rory with a happy ending, which this gave me a bit of.) Spoilers...for up through "Amy's Choice," conservatively (it is AU!).
I'm so sorry for the next 3 fics; they're all post-"Cold Blood," very spoilery, and not...well. Not terribly happy, unfortunately. You have been warned. They were just what I needed right after the episode--catharsis.

A life, in snapshots.
Some beautiful bits of Amy/Rory, in here.

The Doctor and Rory have a conversation. This is the fic *I* almost wrote after "Cold Blood."
(he wasn't there again today), by lizbee
To be remembered is to be immortal. The Doctor knows what it's like to be forgotten.
Oh, my. Angst and remembrance, with bonus extra-relevant Old Skool references.
Torchwood/Buffy the Vampire Slayer
My Immortal (Torchwood/Buffy), by elisi
After settling in Rome in 2004, Buffy started dating a man known only as 'The Immortal', and who was - by all accounts - entirely too good to be true. What if one of his other names was 'Captain Jack Harkness'? This crossover explores how this could be possible, ties the two 'verses together (including all those flashbacks) and shows why Buffy and Jack were perfect for each other at that point in time. Canon compliant in the extreme.
I feel I should apologize for reccing this; it is so far outside what I usually read (mildly explicit sex, romantic flings, Jack Harkness being sexy, a crossover pairing), much less recommend. And only some of you will be remotely interested, so. What I loved about this: extremely canon-compliant, and very creative in its adherence to canon; realistic portrayal of the central couple, positive AND negative; fun, exciting, and...I have to say it...hot. If that's what you're looking for, or if you wonder whether the author can pull this outrageous pairing off, well, rest assured. She does. *takes hat off to author*
To Dance On The Floor In The Round, by pepper_field
Technically AU, I guess. "This may be problematic." This is gen, entirely, entirely gen...team...babyfic. *waits for your brain to stop trying to wrap around that* It's hilarious and weirdly, touchingly realistic. Even if you don't like babyfic, you need to read this one.
The Rules of Barrayaran Sex, by Philomytha
Cordelia's never been good at following rules.
This is hilarious, and the voices and tone are bang-on. I started rereading it when I looked at it to rec it, and almost immediately found myself laughing out loud. Aral/Cordelia, and a good bit of fluff, including baby Miles' first word.
Giving Hostages to Fortune, by DesertVixen
The beginning of the next generation in the Vorkosigan Saga.
Set after A Civil Campaign, and absolutely amazing. A perfect "missing scene" type story.
A New Heart, by Dipenates
Don deals with old jealousies in the new light of his faith. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Short, but packs rather a punch.
Poised At The Edge of Destruction, by muchkinofdoom
Don and Nikki find themselves with front row seats for the beginning of the Zombie Apocalypse. This is awesome--action/adventure horror with a touch of h/c, stuffed with teamy goodness, and on top of that all our people survive. :)
