"Satan" means accuser
Just on a technical note, I believe "Satan" in the original Hebrew text means "resister". However, Satan's title, "Devil", in the original Greek di·a´bo·los, means "slanderer", which is much in keeping with "accuser."
*grin* Yes, I did mean the Greek term. Should've specified. And frankly, the Hebrew word/meaning fits in nicely with my train of thought, as well. Both "resister" and "slanderer" are terms for an attacker or one who presents an obstacle.
